Sri Maha Saraswathi Hindu Temple was opened in the beginning of year 2013 to serve the devotional, cultural and spiritual needs of the Hindu community in and around Central Illinois.
The temple observes all major Hindu functions throughout the year, along with daily pooja, abhishekam, alankaram for the deities performed by the priest on auspicious days.
Main deities of the temple are Goddess Saraswathi, Lord Ganapathy, Goddess Durga, Lord Shiva and Lord Venkateshwara.

Pandit Etikala Phanibhushana Sarmaji
Pandit Sarmaji brings exceptional qualifications and extensive experience to our temple community. He completed 12 years of intensive Sama Veda studies under the guidance of renowned Vidwan Sri MS MuthuKrishnan Sroutigal at Sri Venkateswara Veda Patasala, Dharmagiri Tirumala.
